Only one solution::

Increase the punishment charges by 10 times of existing and occasionally send those into Jail who travel illegally.

This is becoming a new normal in all trains - ticketless/unreserved/waitlisted travellers forcing their way through in reserved coaches. Sleeper coaches are a lost case , and 3AC is on the same path . Very strangely, even when 1AC and 2AC are also bearing the brunt of this gross mismanagement, IR terms the videos and photos of such incidents as "maligning it's image" , and Rail Minister refuses to acknowledge existence of any such issue.

I have highlighted these points in one of my earlier post also , a gradual overhaul
...
more...
of the existing system is needed, otherwise this rot will persist forever :

1. Railway stations should have adequate boundary walls /fencing - checking at entry/exit points of stations - "valid reserved ticket based entry only " on platforms.

2. mobile patrolling units of RPF - to handle such travellers on trains - when caught, impose heavy fines and if reqd to deter others . " How will common man pay heavy fines" narrative is no longer viable - one should think about the consequences before committing the offence .

3. Instead of denying these incidents that surface as videos and photos on social media , IR should verify and suspend/ impose fines on TTEs and RPF staff escorting the train - for non- fulfilment of duty obligations. In long term , it may instill fear of higher authorities and deter corrupt practices and ignorance.

4. At least 6 sleeper coaches should be there in all non AC trains , which should be gradually phased out , not abruptly . Plus, the COVID era reservation in general class should be brought back .

In each SL they are extra 40 passengers travellingbin standing and in general extra 100 passrngers are travelling beyond seating capacity making 600 passrngers more then capacity and I'd they are 2-3 trains EG Nagpur Mumbai a total if 1500-1800 extra travelkers means a full daily Amrit Bharat is required exclusively then only the problem will come down for 1-2 years. After that again the number travellers will increase in future and introduction of new trains should be a continous process 1 train in 3-5 yrs then only they can control overcrowding. Putting heavy fine, put illegal passengers in jail will not yield results. If the passrngers are travelling by standing for 12-14 hrs itself says that these classes cannot afford to pay 3AC fares and travel. If IR feels financial burden then SL and GS fares should be increased by 30 % and provide trains by reducing the subsidy...

No that's not true, it's safe.

But for sure you will face difficulties in communicating as very less people know Hindi and English. Many a times your Ola Uber will cancel your ride if you can't talk to them in tamil and won't be able to guide your route and location.

...
more...

Sometimes coolies too cheat you at MAS, for me once they asked for 1000 rs for carrying 2 trolly bags weighting less than 50 kg combined.
I have to pay as I was unaware of it.

Usually people won't bother for being north Indian and they usually tend to be away and mostly not mingle with you. But if you approach them they mostly they will guide you correctly. Just try to avoid Hindi and prefer English, situation worsens if you go interior TN away from city then even English won't help you.

This is from my 2 year studies at pondicherry.
