Dude the work culture in India is like if you work more than your official shift you are considered a hard working person otherwise a person coming and leaving work on time is looked down upon. Thats across private and government sectors. No one cares about efficiency going down due to fatigue.
There's only so much we can do. We need more trains, but we also need coal, we need goods transported. With the exploding population, fertile land can't be compromised in the name of expansion.
When you're rewarded for showing profits, and when everyone thinks their jobs are mere quorum, then quality takes a hit. More working hours, less time for rejuvenation and maintenance, means more chances of mishaps.

Just gone through kavach or ATP anti collision technology and it works well in all three given scenarios of two trains running on same tracks, head on or back to back it activates when gap reduces below 350m.

Till now only around 1100+ km section of IR network has been fitted with kavach technology. Speed is slow

As usual they will cancel short distance/intercity and passengers to run long distance ones
That's too bad. The current condition of Guard and SLR passengers and Loco pilot of colliding must be horrible. Thoughts and prayers to their lives and their families. But why did the collision take place at all? Signaling issue again?

See the condition of the loco as the HCPV was loaded. Imagine if it was empty..the impact on the train would have been more.

Train no 13174 DN , Loco no-32308 /CNB, departure RNI at 8.27 hrs with authority TA912 .stop between RNX -CAT at km no-11/10,12,14. Due to automatic signalling failure from 05.50 hrs and TA 912 issue authourity for above train Same time train no DN GFCG cont , Loco no 43616 /PADX departure RNI at 8.42 hrs hit wirh 13174 DN in rear portion resulted Rear SLR, PCL VAN and and GS derailed. SLR badly damage and upon the loco hood of loco no 43616 PADX , wheel of SLR inter in Loco CAb and LP & ALP may be entangle Massage time 09. 01 hrs. Both up & DN line block and up & DN train मूवमेंट hampered.
