for the third line between Cantt and Kusmhi (11 km). Surveys are underway between Chhapra and Deoria, and between Khalilabad and Baitalpur (85 km). The budget for this project has been released. The construction of the third line between Gonda and Burhwal is also underway. Once completed, trains travelling from Lucknow to Bihar via Gorakhpur will no longer need to stop at Domingaarh, Nakha, and Cantt stations, allowing faster passage for both passenger and freight trains. Additionally, the Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) inspected the Lucknow-Sultanpur and Shri Krishna Nagar rail sections to ensure proper maintenance and track safety, particularly focusing on track monitoring and repairs due to the extreme heat.
