if your travelling to MAJN or past subramanya road for general travel or for railfanning sit on the left side of coach near the emergency window (bars free view:P).one's train leaves sakleswarpur,most of the people reserve their seats near door(i.e on right as trainy reverses post ASK)so better be hurry and occupy as this section gives one of BEST SCENIC VIEWS(better i say it as BREATHTAKING VIEWS for more than 3hrs.)where it passes through 60 tunnels and number of bridges(of which best will come at midst of journey around after passing 20tunnels so dont hurry and waste ur devices battery(like i did:P)as it descends loco pilot will do brake test at every halt and between(almost stops atleast min or more if ur lucky that day),so if u are smart,adventurer kinda be hurry move down and take a better snaps(i have tried many)
No stopping while Up hill earlier.... But few months back SWR in its PR said 1 min stop at all Stations on Ghats. Please do confirm if u are travelling.
& Brakes Checking is required only for Down hill ride. If trains stop Uphill, Then it has to Accelerate hard to start on Gradients.

Now this train never touches arasikere instead it directly runs via kunigal hassan
Travelled in this train on 9th July 2018. This is my maiden journey after it is LHBfied. The coaches and seats are very comfortable compared to ICF coaches with enough leg space in between rows. Every seat will have a small eating table which was not available in ICF, which is very useful. The coaches are all very new and hence were shining both from inside and outside. The only problem is, the reserved 2S coaches will have only 102 seats unlike ICF which will have 106. So, who ever allotted seats beyond 102, can SMS their PNR to 139 after chart preparation to know their new coach and seat numbers.
Brand new LHB rake. Also, you have a choice between regular Deen Dayalu general and Antyodaya general coaches. But beware! Number of general coaches has been reduced from 9 to 5.
what is the difference between antyodaya general and lhb deen dayalu; both are identical in terms of facilities i guess
From last year itself, GS coaches where reduced to 6 & was made 15 coacher. Now 14. I had spotted this during June last year.
If travelling in 2S, pls carry some tissue paper with you, especially in monsoon. If the seat/window has moist dirt, you can wipe it off.
u will only get food for lunch (veg palau,bananas,parota...,etc)once train reaches sakleswarpur,but u have to be hurry as only a group of five men will be placing food on platform and selling(no one comes immediate after train arrives once after 15min around)and only one permanent food stall even it is full with pax..
