30 July 2006: The Ajmer-Kishanganj Garib Nawaz Weekly train, numbered 5715/5716, was started by Railway Minister Lalu Prasad. In 2008, the above notice states that the AII-KNE Garib Nawaz train will now run three times a week. In 2010, a new train called the AII-KNE Weekly Express, numbered 9601/9602, was proposed and inaugurated. (Reference: Notice from Northern Railways) In the 2011 Rail budget, the AII-KNE Weekly train was extended to NJP, becoming the AII-NJP Express, numbered 9601/9602. (Reference: Budget extension No.19) In 2013, the AII-NJP Express was further extended to UDZ, becoming the UDZ-NJP Express, numbered 19601/19602. (Attached notice) So, the Garib Nawaz train came first.
