Mour Dhwaj - Many times I have wondered what is the significance of this name given to this train. I even tried to deduce it from the literal meaning Mour - Peacock and Dhwaj - Flag. But as you can see, we can't really know what is the meaning of this.
This Sunday, while visiting The temple of Mata Chintpurni Ji, I was reading the posters on the walls and read a familiar name, 'Mour Dhwaj'. The whole story was written there along with the pictures, unfortunately I couldn't click a photo but here is the story in brief -

Thanks, I always wondered about the name of this train 😅 and when I found something similar, I couldn't help but share it here.
Good information. But I think it is also someway related to 'The Great Mauryan Empire'

Well, it is possible but there is not much information available about that. I just read about the story of ‘MOUR DHWAJ’ the king and thought that is the reason but who knows 🤷🏻
I don't know but a private bus operator in Bihar uses a similar name as Dani Mour Dhwaj.

बरेली – मुंबई लोकमान्य तिलक तक स्लीपर वंदे भारत चलाने की योजना बन चुकी है जिसका रूट बरेली/अलीगढ़/आगरा/झांसी/भोपाल/जलगांव होते हुए मुंबई तक, SRDCM, MB ने की पुष्टि
वहीं इसी रूट पर अभी 14314/13 बरेली – लोकमान्य तिलक सफलतापूर्वक चल रही है !
