Indeed a very old bridge over the mighty Ganges connecting Naihati ( on the Sealdah Section) with Bandel (on the Howrah Section). Please take a look at the old design of the bridge and its spans. A train journey over it is enjoyable, Mr. Gopal.

Yes Sir..it is of a cantilever truss design with spans.As per this article, bridge is being phased out and a new rail bridge is being built adjacent to it to be named as Sampreeti Bridge.
Another one.Kabini Rail bridge at Nanjangud,KA.Its a MG Rail bridge built across Kabini in 1735(278Yrs)!! It is declared a Heritage monument. click here
