The entire process is expected to take about four months. The Yellow Line is crucial for connecting South Bengaluru to Electronics City, which houses major companies like Infosys and Biocon. The train was originally supposed to arrive in September 2023, but delays occurred due to supply chain challenges, the COVID-19 pandemic, and trade restrictions with China. The Chinese manufacturer, CRRC Nanjing Puzhen Co. Ltd., partnered with Kolkata-based Titagarh Rail to manufacture the remaining coaches to meet the 'Make in India' requirement.
