Street Station construction, Kolkata Police Club, Calcutta Kennel Club, and Rajasthan Club will be temporarily relocated. The Metro authorities will provide porta-container facilities for these clubs to ensure their continued operations. The Esplanade Metro Station construction will involve the relocation of the Kolkata Mounted Police Paddock to the Shahid Minar, with the necessary 'no objection certificate' (NOC) already obtained from the Ministry of Defence. A water body, Monohar Das Tarag, near New Market will be temporarily drained to accommodate the tunnel construction and will be restored once the construction is complete. To accommodate the Victoria Memorial Station, environmental clearance has been obtained for tree felling, with replanting and restoration of trees in the Maidan planned. The project is expected to be operational within two years.
