Shri Guru Kottureshwara Temple at Kotturu is an ancient temple located at the Kottur, Bellary District and it is 280 KM from Bangalore.
The main attraction of this place is car festival (Rathothsava) that takes place every year in Magha masa ( somewhere in February ) this is one of unique experince for the devotees. Once the Mula Nakshatra starts, the ratha moves a bit on its own and later devotees start pulling the ratha.
