Railway board gave the final nod for the much awaited Palakkad Town Pitline Project worth 46 Crore Rs. The project consists of 1 pitline & 2 stableline. Tenders to be floated soon.

16731/32 PGT TCN PGT Exp speeded up and timings changed to 6 am departure from Palakkad Jn wef 22nd Jan 2023. 22651/52 Chennai Palakkad Chennai Exp, Amritha Express also speeded up due to the sectional speed increase to 100 kph in the Palakkad Palani Dindigul Section.

The Railway Board approved the Palakkad Town (PGTN) Pitline project worth Rs.19 Crores along with additional pitline facility at Mangaluru Cntrl(MAQ) worth Rs. 7 crores and additional coaching facilities at Kochuveli (KCVL) worth Rs. 35 crore. One pitline along with 2 stable lines are in pipeline for PGTN. Tenders will be floated soon.
