Alight here for the very famous Annamalaiyavar Temple. You can take an auto from the Railway station to reach the hill. The Karthigai Deepam festival is celebrated during the day of the full moon between November and December, and a huge beacon is lit atop the Annamalai hill.
Must do is a Pradakshina (Also called girivalam) of the hill by foot.

Shri. Arunachaleshwara (Annamalaiyar) Temple is a huge and magnificent one where the famous festival of "Karthigai Deepam" is conducted every year on the day when the full moon is in conjunction with the constellation Pleiades in the month of Kartika, usually mid-November to mid-December. The Holy Hill besides the temple is the deity here, believed to be Lord Shiva Himself.
