This Train is often delayed by more than 6 hours. Although it is scheduled to leave from Guwahati at 9PM but it never does before 12 AM.The train is made to halt a long time before New Bongaigaon as they say it is unsafe to pass thru BORO infected area at night.
Scheduled Time to reach NJP is 03:35AM however it reaches only around 9:30AM thereby already making a delay of 6 hours & as the THUMB rule applies to all Trains in INDIA i.e a train once delayed for long is made to wait longer & caused further late running. The Rail authorities say that by doing that, they do not hamper the schedules of other trains... sadly we do not...

I would request the dear minister to first lay tracks & then inaugurate trains with super flop big promises...which mostly turn out to be a utopia, I request the minister to atleast be in Delhi Rail Bhawan handling Railway instead spending time in his/her home state with unnecessary matters.
If work is done it can be seen by public/Passengers, we dont need public money to be splurged on full page rail advertisement on inaugurating even small ticket counters..to the best of my knowledge earlier even DRM's didnt inaugurate it..it was handled by the station authorities..however our minister has taken the onus to open every railway ticket counter in his/her home state in his/her august presence even if it meant at the cost of millions of passengers travelling nationwide.
