Should have diverted existing 17249/50 tpty-cct and 17247/48 ns-dmm in this route instead of cancellation(block at gudur).. pax who have booked earlier should now book to this spl again..
This is clear case of planning when there is a long holiday weekend then they should not have planned this week but have done next week. As suggested by you they should have diverted NS DMM exp via this line and short terminated at TPTY. If diverted then they have to cover more distance increased operations costs and lesser revenue. They cancelled trains now running as spls in longer route with fare of diverted Km with 1.3x which they would have lost.

Ice also can be runned with this by adding 2 -2s and 1 -3ac in tpty runned to guntur up/down 5 days and also rsa with present weekly
