SER will not run Lalmati Exp and Rajya rani exp anymore unless there is a strong political pressure which unfortunately is not there in this route. Neith BJP MP from Midnapur nor Bisnupur or Purulia have any interest on developing railway infrastructure in Midnapur, Bankura, Jhargram, Purulia districts of WB. They r all useless BJP MPs only doing jumla act by doing shadow fighting with TMC in TV and doing ZERO Work for development of their areas. In Railways they have huge scope to uplift these poor rail connectivity and ignored districts of WB but they take no initiative at all.
Intresting to see new SHM depot is commissioned already, so which 4 are getting PM at this Depot ?
Yes correct that i know until political pressure SER will not run Lalmati,Birsa Munda and Rajya rani exp anymore. Also, yes BJP MPs of Midnapur, Bisnupur are totally useless ones. Kharagpur/Midnapur did not got a SINGLE new train originating from these stations n last 10 years or more although BJP MP and MLA is there from Kharagpur, Midnapur from last 10 to 15 years. Kharagpur, Midnapur, Bankura all r totally Neglected section of IR. Kharagpur has huge demand for trains to Amritsar, Delhi, Tirupati, Digha, Haldia, Guwahati and many more and people are demanding from many years through different forums. But nothing. Why people of Kharagpur and Midnapur will vote again in 2024 when you don't work not only in Railways but in other sectors also and u fail to fulfill public demands??????
SER must restore this train again, but via MSAE , Adra once the connection at MSAE starts.
This train can run in reverse TT to the proposed HWH-BQA MEMU Exp via MSAE. Crossing can be done at Beliatore.

This used to be one of the most unreliable trains at this route. Often cancelled for no reason. No wonder such a short rake and only a single reserved coach.
It was an important train between Howrah and Tata and Purulia in morning. Although it had 1 reserved coach, it used to run full in the morning. Those passengers who missed Ispat Exp for TATA in the morning or didn't get reservation in Ispat preferred this biweekly train.
Yes it used to get cancelled frequently between Santragachi and Howrah. It used to get short terminated at Santragachi although Santragachi was not a regular stop of this train.

News is there that Lalmati Exp will run again but now via Masagram, Bankura and can be Daily. Some planning is going on in SER. Any railway employee here can find out?
SER is currently having the rake of SRC-DIGHA Biweekly Spl lying idle from Monday to Friday. SER can easily utilise the rake to run HWH-PRR Lalmati Exp. A very important train with good occupancy is permanently cancelled by SER.
ICF rake of Rupasi bangla exp is also available parked at Uluberia stn, it can also be used to run Lalmati Exp biweekly. SER needs to think to restart this important train.
