nambi83 362 blog postsDuring MG days there is one day train to Rameswaram which starts from Tambaram around 1pm. Considering this special train matches for the perfect train for future. I guess once Tiruvarur-Thirutharaipoondi-Manamadurai guage conversion completes this special train will be perfect for day time operation with change in timings.
This spl is introduced mainly for Melmaravathur pilgrims!!!!!!!!!! Regularizing this spl after GC of TVR-KKDI is difficult as RMM already has two daily night trains!!!

This train is hauled by WAG 5A ( nick name - Krishnaveni)loco. This type of loco is maily used in hauling goods trains.
I do not know which type of diesel loco will be used beyond Madhurai.
