Junction at 17:10 hrs on the third day. The return journey from Coimbatore Junction to Jabalpur will be on Mondays, leaving Coimbatore Junction at 15:10 hrs from July 8th to October 14th, and arriving in Jabalpur at 08:45 hrs on the third day. The non-monsoon timetable also sees the train operating with adjusted timings. From October 18th to December 27th, the train will depart Jabalpur at 23:50 hrs on Fridays and arrive in Coimbatore Junction at 14:40 hrs on the third day. The return journey from Coimbatore Junction to Jabalpur will be on Mondays, leaving Coimbatore Junction at 17:05 hrs from October 21st to December 30th and reaching Jabalpur at 08:45 hrs on the third day.

WCR has sent the proposal for their regularization in this year and previous years IRTTC meetings, but RB/Concerned Zones have still not given the approval to make them regular maybe due to extra revenue by special fare.

Train number 02198 departs from Jabalpur every Friday at 23:50 hours and reaches Coimbatore on the third day at 14:40 hours after passing through Itarsi at 03:35 hours and Harda at 04:45 hours the next day. Train number 02197 departs from Coimbatore every Monday at 17:05 hours and reaches Jabalpur on the third day at 08:45 hours after passing through Harda at 03:53 hours and Itarsi at 05:05 hours. This extension will benefit passengers traveling from Jabalpur, Narsimpur, Gadarwara, Piparia, Itarsi, Harda, and Khandwa.

2024 तक चलती रहेगी। गाड़ी संख्या 02198 जबलपुर-कोयंबटूर साप्ताहिक एक्सप्रेस स्पेशल ट्रेन प्रत्येक शुक्रवार को जबलपुर से 23.50 बजे प्रस्थान कर अगले दिन 03.35 बजे इटारसी, 04.45 बजे हरदा पहुंच कर मार्ग के अन्य स्टेशनों से होते हुए तीसरे दिन 14.40 बजे कोयम्बटूर पहुंचेगी। गाड़ी संख्या 02197 कोयंबटूर-जबलपुर साप्ताहिक एक्सप्रेस स्पेशल प्रत्येक सोमवार को कोयम्बटूर से 17.05 बजे प्रस्थान कर मार्ग के अन्य स्टेशनों से होते हुए तीसरे दिन 03.53 बजे हरदा, 05.05 बजे इटारसी पहुंचकर, 8.45 बजे जबलपुर पहुंचेगी। इस स्पेशल ट्रेन की संचालन अवधि बढ़ाने से जबलपुर, नरसिंहपुर, गाडरवारा, पिपरिया, इटारसी एवं हरदा, खंडवा स्टेशन के यात्रियों को लाभ मिलेगा।
