1)GOC will mostly have DLS only, ELS is a distant dream, It will have DLS since it has to cater Delta region , POY/PTJ-DG line, QLN-VPT, VPT-MNM-RMM, TPJ-KKDI,KKD-QLN via Pattukottai , Still GOC DLS has good load on its shoulders.
2)ED scenario is Different, Now ED DLS Alco's are getting transferred to other places. They may use DLS space and modify it to ELS and augment the locos there.
3)Now SA-DG , ED-KRR got approval for electrification. Once if Omalur-Banaswadi electrification is completed then there is no need of ED Diesel loco...
more... shed. Now days ED is providing Mu'ed locos to many trains like MYS-MV , MYS-TN , Cholan express , ERS intercity , CBE-LTT express. Now ED Alco's have taken responsibility in SWR. SWR trains like KIK passenger, SBC-MYS passenger, YPR-CAN express, SBC-NCJ express , MYS-SMET passenger. So that the loco's are nt idle.
3) Same for ERS , Once if KR gets electrified , then ERS also will face troubles.
