MailguardSG25~ 24054 blog postsGood to see that the train turned into a regular Mail/Exp service from July TT & has been diverted via Hajipur-Chhapra-Siwan-Gorakhpur-Basti-Gonda-Sitapur Cantt-Chandausi-Muradabad & finally terminated into ANVT instead of using the super saturated HWH DLI Main line(which its presently using as a Summer Special)..Expected 15483/84 Mahananda Exp to be diverted via the non-conventional route to speedify so that the rake could return to make its return journey possible on time.But sadly Mahananda Exp continues to use PNBE-ALD-CNB route & will continue to get delayed abnormally.
Forget shifting, they're introducing new trains on the stretch. MAU-ANVT, BBS-NDLS, CNB-ANVT to name a few. The first amongst these could easily have been made to run via 'non-conventional' route, as you call it. But then they can't conclude the list without a few logic defying decisions.

No idea.... on IVRS aka 139 they are telling "This train does not run on the given date" :(
IRI ke Admin-o ne fir se apna khud ka dimaag istemaal kiya hain...KYQ se NBQ via GLPT chalti hain not via RNY....update kijiye aap route fir main dekhta hoon update hota hain ki nahi....

Simaria is changeover point for DNR-SEE Div so most of passing trains halts here.

This is not a valid logic...RQJ(Raninagar Jalpaiguri)/Sevoke(SVQ) is a changeover point for KIR-APDJ Division...But other than crossing no Goods/Passenger stop there...OMLF is a Change Over point for NFR/ER...There also no train stops...The thing which you're talking abt this practice was discontinued since 2003....prior to that there was a mandatory halt of 1 min for such cross over station...Moreover this is a 5 min halt so surely a Scheduled Stoppage.

abhisheks7 333 blog postsI'm following since 05620....So many places in b/w where delay occured...but something which is done by NCR is really pathetic...Today started from NDLS @ 10:40 & when I tracked this train @ Sasni(130 km from NDLS) it was already overtaken by 12274 NDLS HWH Duronto Exp(which started 140 mts after this train)..There is no scheduled train b/w 10:40-13:00 which starts off from NDLS though Gomti(12:30) was comfortably lagging behind this....after that for the next 75 km it was a marvelous run for this train till Ferozabad...because it was following Duronto but when I checked this evening...Duronto was near Kanpur,whereas Special was yet to reach Etawah....So that tells you how did NCR treated it :P
