Why do the YPR-TATA weekly express and the ERS- Barauni Raptisagar express take nearly 700 km detours to reach their destinations? Such slow trains are a disgrace in this day and age (unless they are passenger trains that halt at each station) and the YPR-TATA express mostly runs empty.

If you are referring to 18111/2, then it must be for providing TATA connecton to the interior KA and AP areas. Atleast from GTL, it could take the Nandyal route.
