15/10/2018 A train trip I am sure I would definitely not forget. Over the past few months I was under the dillema whether I should post this experience or not but today I felt like posting it and spread the important message. I was having my mid term exams, I have total 8 subjects and my great college made the greatest decision of keeping 4 subjects per day finish it off within 2 days. So from 13th I was having cold with running nose and bad throat, it became worse on 14th. On 14th I didn't sleep the entire night in order to study for the exams on 15th. On 15th I wrote my first 3 exams when it came to the 4th exam of the day my condition worsened I was coughing continuously plus the AC classroom accelerated it even more I was not feeling well at all plus we weren't allowed to go to washroom during the exam,when I couldn't tolerate the my deteriorating condition, I left my exam without completing it went to the washroom and vomitted a bit. Then I hurried to my PG and done the packaging as quick as possible i wanted to rest a bit but I knew if I did I will have no control because of a sleepless night and end up missing the train. I took an auto for Bandra Terminus on the entire way from Chembur to Bandra Terminus I was half asleep and coughing the entire way even the auto driver asked about my health. I reached Bandra Terminus at 17:45 got down towards the footover bridge at the rear side as being a frequent traveller I knew AC coach are at the rear end but that the rake was reversed and the AC coach was in the front my coach HA1 was the front end I felt so frustated that why on the day i was unwell I had to get a reversed rake( the train tip and information on 22927,22928,19031,19032 about one rake having reversed coach composition was posted by me because of this), I was feeling very weak and tired to walk all the way upto the front, but somehow I managed to get there by resting in between even a simple task of the walking till front end became difficult for me because of my condition. At 18:00 I tried to board my coach but the attendent said to wait as AC hasn't been stated and its too early to board, another thing to add to my frustration, now all I needed to do was to wait outside the coach for 30-40 minutes without falling asleep somehow I managed to pass my time looking desperately towards the coach finally at 18:40 I boarded the coach spread the bedding and went to sleep. But the real problem started after I went to sleep, after falling asleep I went delirious I was speaking, shouthing in my sleep even saying the f**k word multiple times, my head felt so heavy and aching i was screaming because of it, after all an a sleepless day in which i was awake for 30+ hours and my sickness combined was not going to let me go so easily, then the attendent woke me up he and the co passengers asked if I was not well I said yes I was literally shocked on what was going on then the attendent gave me a medicine and asked whether he should calk a doctor at Vadodara to which I refused, I took the medicine and went to sleep on reaching Ahmedabad I apologized to my co passengers explaining then that I am not mad it was because I wasn't well. I was really embarrassed but at the same time I was consoling myself that I didn't create the scene on purpose. I thought of calling at my home but I knew that at 4:20 in the morning everyone will be deep asleep and wouldn't wake up at this time. I came out of station but the moment I came out I suddenly felt so weak and sat down on the footpath near the escalators I sat there for quite some time then I somehow managed to book an Uber and reached home. God bless that attendent who gave me the medicine, if he wasn't there or if I had booked in sleeper i don't know what could have happened.
In case of any medical problem never hesitate to ask for help.
I am highly thankful to that attendent for my entire life.

I like everything about this Rajdhani except the Jalgaon halt. It is pure politics. I have been opposed to it from the very beginning. Like the Durontos and other trains, it should have skipped Jalgaon and halted at Bhusaval. The latter is a divisional HQ, a big junction and has crew change facilities. 2 years rigorously travelling between Mumbai and Jalgaon / Bhusawal....actually both the cities are well connected by road 24x7. People from JL always used to travel to BSL and take their respective trains which was not difficult at all.... But Politics have always won and will always win...." I have personally experienced something similar having boarded trains from Mughalsarai when living in Varanasi. MGS is regarded as a satellite halt for Varanasi and people have no problem catching trains from there. Now just to make this happen, the crew from BSL will be transported by car between Jalgaon and Bhusaval. How is it justified that the hardworking crew has to undergo this just for the JL halt? Sooner or later, BSL is going to show up as a tech halt and converted to commercial later. Also the JL halt has opened the door for others to follow - Manmad, Khandwa, Gwalior. So, how many of you would like to see this Rajdhani with 9 commercial halts? That is what I fear the most. I have seen this happen all too often in the last 30 years. August Kranti Rajdhani started with TWO COMMERCIAL HALTS. Look where it is now. Hoping against hope my fear doesn't come true.
I totally agree with you.. This Rajdhani is introduced with another vision to cater JL as well.. I agree with halts of trains at BSL..ALD Duronto gives little patronage from IGP, reasonably full most of times as the case may be.. It would be much more reasonable to provide halts at GWL and BSL than JL, and this move is an outcome of sheer... more...
With all due Respect, I Appreciate your stand on this issue as JL was Constantly ignored for premium train stops which includes Patna BDTS Humsafar, Vadodara Mahanama Exp, Pune Santaragachi Humsafar, Nagpur Pune Garibrath, Antyoday Express, Pune Kazipet SF, Jabalpur Pune SF, LTT Nizamuddin AC exp etc. Don't know the specific reason but these trains got automatic Halt at BSL due to its reputation as Junction and then CR used to say that's it's not possible to give stops to these trains in distance of 24 KM.
Mani sir this train would definitely be getting BSL and GWL halts in near future. Skipping Bhusaval is a big task, wouldn't be continued for long as it is definitely uncomfortable for the crew.Railways would never want to keep the crew uncomfortable for long. Then GWL would have its political pressure for a Halt. If Bhusaval does nit have a halt then even Jhansi should not have it as these 2 are quite similarly important railway hubs for the railways.
Actually many more trains don't stop at Jalgaon Jn. The only main reason for this is that Jalgaon Jn. is within 25 km radius of Bhusaval Jn. Such distances don't warrant stoppages as it is quite easy to travel these type of distances by road to catch a train. But in recent times many railway stations are getting halts even after having a huge Railway Junction close to the city. Hence Jalgaon Jn is now also a contender for stoppages of all the trains. If the railway does not give it, then political pressure will. We also have to understand railway's point of view that stoppages of so many trains at such short distances would definitely block traffic and slow down the route considerably.
