Mainline electrical multiple units (MEMU) trains of Bengaluru Railway Division no longer need to go up to railway workshops in Tamil Nadu for major repair works. Without any fanfare, a fully-integrated coach care centre was commissioned at Banaswadi on Tuesday by General Manager of South Western Railway A K Gupta.
“In layman terms, this is like a one-stop point for taking care of trains, like workshops exist for cars or two-wheelers,” a senior Railway official explained. Krishi Infratech has built the Centre for Railways at a cost of Rs 17.78 crore.
A new
maintenance shed running into 168m X 20m and extension of an existing MEMU shed by an additional 70m have been created here. “Both conventional coaches as well as MEMU trains which extend up to 12 coaches,  including that for future suburban trains, can be examined and taken care of here,” a senior Railway official said.
Another official said, “The present 12-coach MEMU coaches had to be taken up to Avadi or Tambaram workshops in Tamil Nadu  for major repairs. From now, it can be done at Banaswadi,” he said. Conventional coaches had to be taken up to KSR railway station for maintenance and some of them can be maintained at Banaswadi henceforth. It will help the Baiyappanahalli Coaching Terminal expected to be commissioned early next year, he said.  
Ten coaches can be stabled here at any given time. “The Stabling Line runs to 386 m while the Shunting Neck (where trains take a turn and cross between lines)  runs to 405 m, “ the source said.  A special aspect is an Inspection Platform. “This will help us examine the under-gear of the coaches,” he said.

I am posting few facts.correct me if i m wrong.now if we assume that 12828/12827 is lhbfied,then ser would need only 1reck for this train.now if RNC int is lhbfied along with RSA then 2 recks are required.so, according to me delinking the RSA and lhbfying 12828/12827 is cost saving for ser,as priority train is lhbfied.
2nd.hte CDO has acquired last spot in maintaining lhb recks.so maintaining 2 int lhbfied recks for hte CDO would be problematic.so lhb maintainence would be poor.so again RSA is questionable if lhb maintainence isn't proper.so delinking RSA is most appropriate.
feel d point made by ser spokesman isn't totally correct .hwh is congested no doubt but can always hold on to an individual reck of 12827/12828.if congestion is the cause then why Shiromani pgr n steel exp rnt having RSA.congesion of int trains then would be min.so congestion just can't be an excuse.
4.long route train s can be destined at SRC allowing SRC to act as a destination stn immidietly.so int trains can reach n leave hwh.int train s having stopage at src would fulfill hwh bound psngrs.
5.rsa in RNC int n prr SF exp isn't allowing cleanliness in both the recks.so even if Swarna coaches come with RSA cleanliness lack will destroy that reck as well.

Had Purulia Express been through ASN-BWN stretch the condition would have been totally different then. Shorter route to Kolkata and connectivity to Durgapur, Bardhaman would have made this train a minimum 20-22 coacher. The train must have been owned by ER then and this maintenance negligence wouldn't have even existed. Purulia Express would have been into similar priority list of Agniveena, Coalfield and in their RSA too. Had that been the truth the rush would have been more than double of present route.😔
