Great Great Great
Some shots taken in the main building of the newly inaugrated Charlapalli Terminal and platforms. There were a few WAG-9HCs on PF 8 and 9 with some empty rakes parked.
Date: 11/1/25.

True, I feel the same. Take Hyderabad for example: Throughout the city's railway lines, there are less than 10 stations that have loop lines and rest of the stations have only main lines with platforms on either sides. On these lines: MMTS trains stop at every station, goods trains move very slowly across the city, intercity/passenger trains stop at small stations. Also, there are no major bypass lines to reduce congestion. Overall, even trains like Rajdhani, Duronto and other superfast trains get delayed due to infrastructure problems and the bad controlling. Avg. speed of trains that pass through Hyderabad is very low. In my experience, it was 25-30km/h. Earlier, MMTS used to be a reliable mode of commute, but now they are always delayed, low frequency and low priority.

IR need to improve signalling and track changing speed to 30kmph from present 10-15kmph on PF and first 3km on either side of the big section station which will reduce congestion. Regarding MMTS the line from Begampet to Lingampalli can handle more trains with frequency of 15mins to Hyderabad and Secunderabad with efficient signalling and automation. If they don't ply MMTS from Lingampalli to Charlapalli via Secunderabad then connectivity and comveinence of traveller logistics will be difficult to reach and board/deboard train as 1500 passengers have to rely on MMTS only as it's 16-20km away from Secunderabad and all passengers have to travel into the city and thee is no catchment area or residential area around Charlapalli. As it is travellers from areas like LB nagar, Dulsukhnagar Ameerpet Banjara Hills Kukatpally are 12km away from SC railway station. Imagine the plight of senior citizens or single traveller who need to be...

Re# 6423830-18
Exactly, Charlapalli station is not easily accessible by public transport as there is no direct mode of commute. I stay in Miyapur, took around 1hr 30min to reach Charlapalli. First, I took metro to Secunderabad station and from there I boarded Sabari Express. To return, I boarded Golconda Express and switched to Devagiri Express in Secunderabad, which took 1hr 20min from SC-LPI, avg. speed is 17km/h... A proper MMTS service would be a lot more beneficial, since there is only one service that runs from GT-LPI, departing at 7:30am.

Exactly I thought of posting same with facts
In Hyderabad Hafeez pet station is located in core software companies area and near to all andhra population homes with metro access in 2km
Hafeez pet had plenty of land to lay 2-4 extra platform and make a terminus inside the city area but scr put a full stop by constructing a huge building

don't know what is the use of this building if they want it to use the station for local trains only that too the local trains system which has no future
The short scope is this much they didn't construct atleast one new platform at this station

Next goes to Malkajgiri a station eligible for terminus instead of constricting new platform or pit line they constructed building
Also they constructed 4station in 3kms literally a 15 coach trains stands at 2 station at any time how can they achieve mps we don't know

Secunderabad station needed a suburban terminal but they wasted land on building and sold all the lands across railway station to private builders

The future of railway in Hyderabad is very dark

Maybe they didn't consider Hafeezpet because Lingampalli is also a terminal station with 9-10 pairs of trains originating and many MMTS services starting there. Both stations are just 5km away. But, I feel they could have used Lingampalli for MMTS trains and Hafeezpet for normal trains, which would have been even better, instead of only one terminal station handling all trains.

MMTS does seem to be heading towards a dark future, with no proper timings and schedule, too much slack, no priority. Is there no extra land for separate MMTS lines? I

think they should try to build suburban rail corridors, like Bangalore. Then introduce new and modern rakes. All the railway tracks should be fenced and MMTS stations should have restricted access, like metro. Only then there might be a chance of saving these trains.
