I have travelled from Pune to Mumbai. As per my experience VB is not worth on this route. It takes around same time as per Deccan Queen and Pragati and fares are also high in VB and minus point it was delayed by 15 mins.

As i was travelling in Executive Class food was not worth Poori was oily and poha was dry, no corn flakes was provided unless asked. Better food is provided in DQ and Pragati then VB. I dont see in future this train will be a Hit as...

in Pune-Mumbai section DQ, Pragati & Sinhgad also depart in morning, unless you dont receive confirm ticket in this train, then only VB will be preferred that is also unlikely because long distance train going towards Mumbai are also there in morning and you can get tickets easily in these trains.

U should not compare fare of VB with GS but compare with ACC fare or AC bus fare which is Rs 400-500, VB is higher. Rs 715 minus 142 for food it's Rs 575.

Right, Main issue is the route in which they started, for solapur people also it is not feasible. For food we have option to skip that.
