4 lines are there. 1 line exclusively for coal loading.
In 3 lines, 1 for PF 1 and 2 are beside that line.
After PF attention, MUGR-SC rake is parked on second line, so that PF is clear for receiving KZJ-MUGR passenger in the evening. 3rd line is always kept clear for passing of freight rakes which go towards mines.
In 2011-12 period, when...
more... this train ran as SC-MUGR tri weekly SF and there was a daily slip service of SC-MUGR, Kakatiya FP used to reach MUGR first, just like now. After departure of the rake as MUGR-KZJ passenger, SF used to cross it somewhere at Pandurangapuram or Gajulagudem and reach MUGR. PF attention was done to it and made to park on one of the other 2 lines before SC-MUGR slip arrives. Slip after getting PF attention was parked on 3rd line and the PF line was used for freight movement.
In the evenings, after the return of KZJ-MUGR passenger, passenger was shifted to slip occupied line and slip occupies PF, because it has to depart first.
This was the only part of the day, when all 3 lines remained occupied, i.e from KZJ-MUGR passenger arrival to slip departure.
Later slip was removed from MTM express and this SF was made daily and changed it to Express.
MUGR express along with pilgrims also serves Manuguru village, PV Township and Heavy Water plant Township. If you ever go till MUGR in this express, you can see a dedicated Plant's bus waiting in station parking to take Township residents and employees till Township located at Ashwapuram village.
With extension of KOP-HYB exp till MUGR, the scene at MUGR will remain the same, except that KOP express will arrive, undergo PF attention and depart without getting shunted to other line.
