More relevant reason could be that majority of trains from Indore start from Indore itself, so people have no difficulty finding seats in other alternatives to Mumbai, so Duronto gets less preference due to that and Flexi Fare is also a major problem.
Same is not true for Allahabad as only two trains originate from Allahabad to Mumbai side and people find it extremely difficult to find seats in other trains there by giving preference to Duronto (also Satna is a major contributor, even I got surprised this time my whole coach (A1) was filled with Satna pax and Rewa pax also at the very least 2-3 coaches in AC3).

Then in case of Bhopal there should be a great contributer to its Train like Satna is there for Ald Duronto, In Bhopal-Mumbai Strech there is None, but Nagpur and Hydrabad/Securndrabad are there for Bhopal-Ypr route. But Yes if Bhopal-Mumbai is choosen via Surat then this could get much greater patronage. But again i have doubt of filling of a complete AC Train,with Flexi Fare cz Non-AC Passenger are also there in both route.
That's why I'm in favour of a Duronto as they can have all classes including Sleeper.

Yes a mixed composition Duronto would be successfull. But since Duronto class is no longer introduced, thats why chances are slimmer.
