Once I went to meet my frnd @ Gwalior station. He was travelling by Chennai Rajdhani 2nd AC. A1 coach didn't had anyone alighting or boarding the train so TTE straightaway checked with me if I'm the genuine traveler or not and didn't allowed me to board even for a min to meet my frnd.
I think they have fair idea about partially WL tickets and accordingly deal with WL passengers at the boarding station itself to avoid any mess during journey.

Yes Sir. As you have rightly said, TTE's are usually strict while dealing with the premium trains. However, there are exceptions as I have pointed out in my earlier posts.

Once I and my friend was traveling by 12246. My friend was supposed to board Rajdhani till Dhanbad. I came along with my luggage to see him off. TTE's roaming around over the platform enquired to me about my coach number.

I politely told him that I have just arrived by YPR Duronto with my friend and have came over to see him off for his further journey till Dhanbad.
Upon hearing this, he sounded a bit annoyed. I had to again tell him that YPR Duronto had arrived at 4:30 pm and my ticket for Duronto still makes me eligible to be within the station premises.

12. Part Confirm/RAC/Waiting List Ticket.
a. If on one PNR there are more than one passenger and one passenger is having confirmed/RAC status and rest are on waiting list or vice-versa, names of all the passengers booked on such PNR will appear in the chart....

b. A certificate can be obtained from the Ticket Checking staff in the train regarding non-travelling of wait-listed passengers on such tickets. Refund will be processed through TDR refund only after receiving the original certificate. IRCTC will forward the claim to Concerned Railways along with
original certificate to process the refund and money of refund amount will be credited back to same account through which
payment was made after receiving the same from the concerned Railways.c. If all such passengers do not want to travel before chart preparation, online cancellation can be done as at present.
However, after chart preparation, online request can be sent to IRCTC through TDR refund for seeking refund. IRCTC will forward the claim to Concerned Railways to process the refund and money of refundamount will be credited back to same account through which payment was made
after receiving the same from the concerned Railways.
