With respect to the statistics given in entry #565136 I think South Eastern Railway should take a decision to haul the following trains by WAP 5 to increase the "Average Speed" of the train which will result in the considerable curtailment of total travel time taken by these trains:
The list of the trains are as follows:
1 HOWRAH MUMBAI AC DURONTO EXPRESS
2...
more... HOWRAH PUNE AC DURONTO EXPRESS
3 HOWRAH YESVANTPUR(BANGALORE) DURONTO EXPRESS
4 HOWRAH MUMBAI GEETANJALI EXPRESS
5 HOWRAH PUNE AZAD HIND EXPRESS
6 HOWRAH CHENNAI COROMANDEL EXPRESS
The statistics given in entry #565136 speaks for itself regarding the replacement of WAP 4 by WAP 5 for the aforesaid trains.
Moreover WAP 5 has a "Quick Pick Up" capacity in comparison to WAP4.
SER Officials should arrange for the allotment of WAP 5 LOCOS for their Santragachi,Tatanagar and Bondamunda Sheds in order to haul the aforesaid trains by WAP 5.
I can say with "GURANTEE" if WAP 5 is introduced "On Experimental Basis" for the aforesaid trains it will be beneficial for SER.
If "WAP 5" HAS DISADVANTAGES THEN ER,NCR AND OTHER RAILWAYS WILL DISCARD THIS LOCO . BUT WHEN IT IS SEEN THAT ER, NCR STILL CONTINUING THE USAGE OF "WAP 5" for their "Notable Superfast trains like "Rajdhani", "Duronto" ,"Kalka Mail" etc then what is the harm on the part of South Eastern Railway to make an "Experiment" with "WAP 5" for the abovenoted trains??????
If you can't use any product then how could you know about it's quality and effectiveness?????
Comments and Suggestions(Both "Favourable" and "Adverse") are welcome. But it is my request please don't make any "Biased Statement" which is predominantly centered to one particular idea.
