Train arrives at BRC (Vadodara Junction) at 23:52 and departs at 00:10
I have reservation (PNR#8537991744) of 13th Jan.
So is this reservation of 12th Jan night or 13th Jan night as arrival is before 12 PM night and departure is after 12 PM night?

nothing confusing . the passenger has to board the train on early morning of 13th so that it shows like that.
Date of Boarding - 13th - i.e. early morning 0010 hrs.
if you wish to go on 13th night/14th morning your date of journey and date of boarding will be 14th jan.2011. so pl do not be confused about arrival time.
always check departure time for railway timings. correspondingly book your tickets.

sir, if this reservation is for 13th night, the date of journey would be shown as 14.1.11 as the train DEPARTS on 14th at 0010 hrs. the train arriving on 13th night at 2352 will depart on 14.1. at 0010 hrs.
its a matter of 18 minutes but the date and day changes - hence the confusion.
