With announcement of South Cost Railway,IR has broken its stand of no zonal reorganisation on the basis of states.Should this be the way forward and reorganize all zones on the basis of states at least for major states? and Should be the zone names be changed according to their state names eg.AP should have AP Railway Zone,Maharashtra should have Maharashtra Railway Zone etc?

That is what happens in reality, all decisions are taken on state and region & language basis.What govt tells on all india basis or efficiency basis is just parrot talk.

KK line revenue loss & other things does not matter as revenue never gets back to the zones.revenue will go to Railways and sanctioned to states where the MP & ministers have influence.If we go by railway revenue, many zones are loss making like SR etc
