These Bi-weekly Suvidha special trains consist of 18 coaches viz., o­ne AC II Tier, three AC III Tier, seven Sleeper Class, five General Second Class and two Second Class Luggage cum Brake Van Coaches.

Sub: Charges for GS coaches and sitting accommodation of SLR for running of special trains and Suvidha trains.

In continuation of above mentioned letters, it has been further decided that “No special trains under rule 401(a) (i) of IRCA Coaching Tariff no. 26 Part 1 (Vol 1) except under following two circumstances shall be introduced on normal fare structure as applicable in regular trains services.
(a) Unreserved special train for all distances including Jansadharan Express.
(b) To clear passengers due to hold up of traffic on account of incidents like accidents, floods, breaches, line blocks, cancellation of trains etc.
Special trains under this rule shall henceforth be introduced only on Suvidha fare as per commercial circular no. 33 of 2015 dated 02.06.2015 & 40 of 2015 dated 01.07.2015 or on special charges as per commercial circular no. 30 of 2015 dated 21.05.2015 and as changes made from time to time.
2 Normally Suvidha trains and Special trains on special charges shall have fully reserved accommodation. However, when lie over rakes of normal train services are utilized for running Suvidha/Special trains, GS coaches in the rakes may be allowed to run in. the train composition of” the Suvidha trains as unreserved coaches. The charges of unreserved coaches and sitting accommodation of SLR shall be the same as for unreserved accommodation as in superfast Mail/Express trains.
3. In case of cancellation of such unreserved tickets, applicable refund shall be permissible as per Refund Rule mentioned in Para No.5 of Gazette Notification dated 4th November, 2015.
4. All other terms and conditions for running of Suvidha trains, special trains on special charges shall remain unchanged.
5. This issues with the concurrence of Finance Directorate of the Ministry of Railways.
6. This will be implemented with effect from 01.03.2016.
