All these r happening just to give passengers to private airlines intentionally.
If you remember 1st these kind of train delays started in HWH-NDLS route few yrs back when almost all trains used to run delay in the route. Passengers slowly shifted from trains to flights. Now see the number of flights and passengers in Kolkata to delhi route. Huge increase. Earlier ER used to run Puja spl , Summer spl trains from HWH/SDAH to Delhi. Now u don't see because pgrs shifted to flights.

and delays of trains in this route is continuing from last almost 2 yrs. Already huge nos of pgrs shifted from trains to flights due to delays of trains and Mumbai/Pune Duronto runs empty in end to end traveller. Just do an RTI to find out the increase in number of flightsfloghts and pgrs in Kolkata to Mumbai and Pune route and you will see.
Now it is the turn of Howrah to Chennai and Bengaluru routes. Delays started and in next 5 yrs you will see the khela.
All these r done to make IR in loss and SELL.
Who knows frequent train accidents r also done to incur more loss to IR as damage of assets and property and proove poor service of IR. Thats why after repeated accidents RM is kept intact.
Also after repeated delay train complaints no action taken and RmM sits quiet and calm in chair.
Delays of trains, mission slowest, dirty train toilets, etc r all done i think is intentionally so that public get fedup of poor services and repeated complaints but no one listening to , then oneday this govt will Sell IR to Private fully and say to increase comfort, punctuality, cleaniness, etc privatiosation is best and required and eill sell IR. Godi media prachar.
Public will say haan ab IR behtar hoga...aur private company will loot you just like Airline prices increasing now and govt have no control on it.
We r moving in that direction and goal.
