includes automatic signaling, construction of a third line between Kusmhi and Gorakhpur Cantt-Gorakhpur, and pre-non interlocking work at Domingarh station. This will increase the line capacity and enable the introduction of additional trains to meet public demand. The affected trains include the Gorakhpur-Lucknow Intercity, Gorakhpur-Ashbag Intercity, and several other long-distance trains. Some trains will be diverted via Gorakhpur-Bhadhani-Gonda and others will be diverted via Chhapra-Audahihar-Varanasi-Jaunpur-Shahganj-Ayodhya Cantt-Barabanki. The work is expected to improve train speeds and increase line capacity.

Is kaam mein automatic signaling, Kusmhi aur Gorakhpur Cantt-Gorakhpur ke beech third line ka construction, aur Domingarh station par pre-non interlocking kaam shamil hai. Isse line ki capacity badhegi aur public ki demand ke hisaab se additional trains chalaai ja sakengi. Train 09044 Gorakhpur-Dahanu Road special train departing from Gorakhpur on October 2nd will be controlled for 35 minutes. Train 20103 Lokmanya Tilak Terminal-Gorakhpur Express will be diverted via Gonda-Barhni-Gorakhpur, skipping stops at Maskenwa, Babhnan, Basti and Khalilabad. Train 14674 Amritsar-Jaynagar Express departing from Amritsar on October 1st will be diverted via Gonda-Barhni-Gorakhpur, skipping stops at Mankapur, Babhnan, Basti and Khalilabad. Train 13020 Kathgodam-Howrah Express departing from Kathgodam on October 1st will be diverted via Gonda-Barhni-Gorakhpur, skipping stops at Mankapur, Babhnan, Basti and Khalilabad. The frequency of the Tanakpur-Daurai special train has been increased from one day to four days a week. This train, numbered 15091-15092, will run from Izzatnagar to Daurai (Jaipur) via Moradabad and Delhi. The train will now run four days a week, up from its previous one day a week schedule.

Gorakhpur station management has proposed this expansion to the Lucknow division, who are already preparing for it. The change will benefit passengers on stations between Gorakhpur and Barhani, and reduce the load on Gorakhpur platform. This is because Gorakhpur station experiences significant pressure from the increasing number of trains. The station management is planning to extend the terminating points of some trains to other stations, easing the load on Gorakhpur. Daily, 8-10 coaches become unfit due to washing and repairs, requiring maintenance on the sick line. The mentioned trains often block the line for hours due to maintenance in Gorakhpur: Train number 20103 (Gorakhpur-LTT) for 11 hours, 11081 (Gorakhpur-LTT) for 14 hours, 11037 (Gorakhpur-Pune) for 15 hours, 13507 (Gorakhpur-Asansol) for 15 hours, 19409 (Gorakhpur-Ahmedabad) for 12 hours, and 11055 (Gorakhpur-LTT) for 10 hours.

Is badlav se Gorakhpur aur Barhani ke beech padne wale darjano stations ke yaatriyon ko in trainon ki suvidha milegi aur Gorakhpur ke platform par bhi kam bheed hogi. Aisa isliye hai kyunki Gorakhpur station par lagatar trainon ka dabav badhta ja raha hai. Station management Gorakhpur se terminate hone wali trainon ko aage ke stations par badhane ka plan bana raha hai. Is plan se dusre stations par trainon ka vikalp badh jaayega aur Gorakhpur junction se trainon ka load bhi kam ho jaayega. Is suvidha ko shuru karne ke liye sick line ka hona zaruri hai.
