I completely agree with you. But the problem is, some people want to make issue out of nothing. Nobody said anything about rerouting other trains which were diverted earlier. VSKP is a big city and needs good connection. But asking to reroute a Duronto which runs full throughout the year? Isn't it too much? They find problem with each and everything. They neglect the fact that VSKP is the most beautiful station in entire ECoR, it has both ELS and DLS (which other place in ECoR has both)? I do agree that there has been some instances of partiality but certainly there were many positives which are never talked about.

Once the technical halt is made a passenger halt, passengers can purchase tickets and board the train. Now, passengers going from Visakhapatnam to Bengaluru have to go all the way to Vizianagaram to catch the train. “Our crew and staff are suffering a lot in travelling all the way from the city at odd hours to provide services on the diverted trains. Vizianagaram station does not have adequate amenities either for passengers or for the staff,” says Ch. Gandhi, president of the East Coast Railway Shramik Union (ECoRSU).
“Wastage of precious man hours can be prevented apart from avoiding inconvenience to thousands of people from the city employed in Bengaluru by giving a halt to this train in Visakhapatnam,” he adds.

My request to that Gandhi.. Please request or demand for the direct train from VSKP to SBC/YPR/MYS and stop crying for each and every train that has been rerouted.. Vizianagaram is also part of Andhra Pradesh. I agree VSKP is an important station,.. not only VSKP cities like Coimbatore, Kanpur also have many trains rerouted without touching those stations.. It happens sometimes. Please do not make it issue for each and every train.. Even for BZA in future.. once the Bypass line is completed. am sure many trains will be rerouted.. If you are interested... please try for a dedicated train from VSKP to Bangalore

Could well say if the passing train gets done via VSKP , then VSKP could well loose a direct/dedicated connection to SBC/MYS. Better ask Public representatives for dedicated ones rather than pulling such kind of services. Moreover timings aren't much favorable at VSKP for duronto, won't get enough quota which doesn't serve purpose.
