I think it will be a better option for people of Ambikapur . In this proposal the people of Ambikapur will get a direct connectivity with Delhi, Gaya , Rourkela , Kolkata , Ranchi, Puri , Renukoot,Varanashi & lot many important commercial places at Odisha , Jharkhand & Uttar pradesh .

Major revenue of BSP division of SECR comes from coal mines in Korba, Ambikapur etc region which doesnot get good rly facilities.
Similarly Bastar region (Kirandul mines) gives huge freight loading (Iron ore) for VSKP division, but rail facilities in the region are very poor
