- Delhi-Amritsar
* Only 3 stations for the proposed 500kms long Delhi-PNP-UMB-CDG-ASR HST project are too less and may lead to less number of paxs on the route. Passengers to the tune of over 1 lac per day are required for success of costly HST. So more cities need to be covered where some HSTs of route can make stoppage. 500km Mumbai-Ahm. HST project shall have total 11 stations.
* Delhi (163Lacs)-PNP (4.4 Lacs)-UMB (4.1 Lacs)-CDG(11)-ASR (12Lacs) shall be 500kms. This route shall not cover important cities like Ludhiana (industrial capital of...
more... Punjab 16Lacs), Jalandhar (9Lacs), Rajpura (1.1Lacs), Khanna (1.3Lacs), Phagwara (1.2 Lacs)
* Instead of above route, 450km long Delhi-UMB-LDH-JRC-ASR with about 35 km spur from CDG to Rajpura would have been a better option. Karnal (3Lacs) Sonepat (3Lacs) may also be considered.
- Delhi-Kolkata
* Delhi(163Lacs)-Faridabad (14Lacs)-Mathura(4.5Lacs)-Agra(200km-21.5Lacs)-Eta wa(2.5Lacs)-Kanpur(450km-20lacs)-Fatehpur(2Lacs)-A llahabad(650km-13lacs)-Varanasi(770-17Lacs)-Buxar( 1.1Lacs)-Arrah(2.6Lacs)-Patna(20.5 Lacs)-DHN-ASN-DGR-BWN-HWH(1525km) with a spur 70km from CNB to LKO (16Lacs) would have ensured coverage of more Major Metros of UP. Exclusion of Durgapur in Delhi-Kolkata Corridor is surprising.
* total 13 stations are too less more stops should be there.

Above cases indicate that excess importance had been given to capital cities (CDG, LKO) at the cost of major commercial centers/ major cities like (CNB, ALD, LDH, JRC)
