Recently in June2018, I traveled DLI -ADI & ADI-NDLS by Ashram/ Rajdhani. The western DFC work can be seen all along from FL to Mahesana. As both the trains pass through the stretch in night, Bright LED towers were well lit on many working sites & at many stations. The work is really going at a fierce pace & one feel proud to see the amazing transformation of entire stretch. Phulera, Kishangarh new station, Madar, Falna , Sirohi Rd( Pindwara) ,Palanpur & many other stations & spread of facilities look amazing... more...
now. I still rememeber the old MG days of late Eigties, when the route used to look like barren stretch except few imp stations en route. I hope that by 2020-2021, WDFC will be operational and IR will zoom into a new era of its own finally.
Construction on Rewari-Iqbalgarh stretch (about 620kms) is going on at full pace and the first stretch of about 200kms shall be operational by 15-8-18. But in Iqbalgarh-Baroda-JNPT stretch work is not as fast and not many reports about this stretch come to notice. By end of 2019 this stretch is likely to be operational.
