periods, continuous night duties, and lack of toilets in locomotives. They claim these factors contribute to human error and accidents. The memorandum emphasizes that loco pilots are often forced to work 14-16 hours a day and are only allowed 30 hours of weekly rest, despite the law mandating 40-64 hours. The memorandum also highlights the detrimental effects of continuous night duties on driver alertness and cites studies suggesting a limit of two consecutive night shifts. Additionally, they point out a 1973 agreement with the government, which stipulated a maximum of 10 hours of work at a stretch, but is allegedly not being adhered to. The association urges Gandhi to intervene and ensure necessary steps are taken to improve safety by addressing these issues.

zyada working hours, insufficient rest periods, continuous night duties, aur locomotive mein toilet ki kami jaise issues ka zikr kiya gaya hai. Unka kehna hai ki yeh sab reason human error aur accidents ke liye zimmedar hai. Memorandum mein yeh bhi bataya gaya hai ki loco pilots ko aksar 14-16 ghante kaam karna padta hai aur unhe sirf 30 ghante ka haftyawara rest diya jata hai, jabki kanoon ke mutabik 40-64 ghante ka rest dena chahie. Memorandum mein continuous night duties ke driver ki alertness par negative effect bhi bataya gaya hai aur studies ka zikr kiya gaya hai jismein two consecutive night shifts ki limit ka sujhav diya gaya hai. Iske alawa, unhone 1973 ke ek agreement ka bhi zikr kiya hai, jismein ek samay mein maximum 10 ghante kaam karne ki baat thi, lekin woh agreement abhi tak follow nahi ho raha hai. Association Gandhi se yeh request kar rahi hai ki woh intervene karein aur in issues ko solve karke safety ko ensure karein.
