he was hit by a train, but it is unclear if it was suicide or an accident. He had left his home on Thursday, May 9th, stating he was returning from Shanti Nagar. When he didn't return, his family searched for him and reported him missing at the Chakulia police station on Saturday. His motorcycle was found at the Chakulia station. Mahato worked as a driver, transporting students to the Chakulia Modern Convent School. He is survived by his wife, a daughter, a son, two elder brothers, and a younger brother. He was the third of four brothers. The Ghatshila Railway Police took possession of the body and sent it to the Ghatshila sub-divisional hospital for post-mortem. After the post-mortem, the body was handed over to his family. Social worker Kaliram Sharma helped in retrieving the body.

Puchtaach karne pe, motorcycle churanewala aadmi ne apna naam Chitoranjan Mahto bataya aur kaha ki woh Jharia ke Pitaajudi ka rehne wala hai. Usne kaha ki meri motorcycle bhi isi tarah chori ho gayi thi. Isliye main ise le ja raha tha. Logon ne chor ko pakad kar police ke havale kar diya. The JBBUS claims that they have been peacefully requesting the Railway administration to reinstate the Bengali names, but their requests have been ignored. They have threatened to write the names themselves if their demands are not met, and the Railway administration will be held responsible for any consequences.

Rakha Mines yeh stations bhi ismein shamil hain. Pehle Bengali mein names likhe the, lekin ab unhe hata diya gaya hai. JBBUS ka kehna hai ki woh peacefully Railway administration se Bengali mein names dobara likhne ka request kar rahe hain, par unki request ignore ki jaa rahi hai. Unhone dhamki di hai ki agar unki demands nahi maani gayi, toh woh khud hi stations pe jaake names likhenge. Isse hone wala koi bhi nuksaan Railway administration ki zimmedari hogi.
