Division Parliamentary Committee meeting. He mentioned that the meeting discussed extending the Ranchi-Chopan Express train route to Singrauli and Shaktinagar. The washing line pit line and sick line constructed in Chopan have been completed and tested, yet Chopan Railway Station is not being used as a terminal station. He requested the extension of the route of the Singrauli-Bhopal and Singrauli-Nizamuddin trains, currently running from Singrauli, to Chopan station. He also urged for the operation of the Chunar-Barwadih Passenger train as a MEMU train. Approval has been received for the construction of an underpass at pole number 168/4 on the Anpara-Mirchadhuri rail route, to be completed in 2024-25. He urged that the work be started promptly.

Gautam highlighted that the construction of the washing line, pit line, and sick line in Chopan has been completed and tested, but the Chopan railway station is not being used as a terminal station despite an investment of approximately 15 crores. He demanded that the route of the Singrauli-Bhopal and Singrauli-Nizamuddin trains originating from Singrauli be extended to Chopan station. He also requested that the Chunar-Barwadih passenger train, known as the “Garib ki Railgadi”, be operated as a MEMU train. He further urged for the immediate commencement of the construction of an underpass at pillar number 168/4 on the Anpara-Mirchadhuli rail line, which was approved for completion in 2024-25.

The underpass near Nunuati village in Sakteshgarh, Chunar area, is filled with water and mud, disrupting traffic. Train number 11801/11802 Viraangana Lakshmibai Express (Jhansi-Prayagraj) will be operated up to Fatehpur. Train number 11273/11274 Itarsi-Prayagraj Chheoki will terminate at Chunar station. Train numbers 03333/03334 and 04193/04194 Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya-Subedarganj will be operated up to Fatehpur. Train number 04181/04182 Kanpur Central-Subedarganj will run until Chunar, while 04129/04130 Kanpur Central-Fatehpur Memu will be extended to Prayagraj Junction.
