A third train (Train No. 20703/20704) to Yeshwantpur from Kacheguda began on September 24, 2022, with primary maintenance at Kacheguda and other end maintenance at Yeshwantpur. A fourth train (Train No. 20677/20678) to Chennai from Vijayawada, also launched on September 24, 2022, has primary maintenance at Chennai Central and other end maintenance at Vijayawada. A fifth train (Train No. 20705/20706) was launched on December 30, 2022, running between Jalna and Mumbai, with primary maintenance at Mumbai and other end maintenance at Jalna. Vande Bharat Express trains are advanced, semi-high-speed trains with features like the 'Kavach' safety system, remote monitoring, and a speed of 130 kmph. In addition to the planned depots, a maintenance facility is already operational at Moula Ali, and another is being developed at the Hyderabad-Nampally station coaching yard. Regular maintenance involves daily safety checks at Secunderabad and Kacheguda stations, weekly checks at Moula Ali, and comprehensive inspections of propulsion, braking systems, passenger amenities, and coaches. Staff have received specialized training to handle these trains at facilities like Integral Coach Factory in Chennai and Mumbai Coaching Yard.
