#ObservationsAtPune *** 8 Years Ago Today at Pune! Chinchwad-Pune Trip Report (Date 01-Feb-2008) ***
Following are the observations during Chinchvad-Pune journey as well as at Pune Railway Station on Friday, 1st February, 2008, from 15:30 to 16:30 hrs (afternoon observations)!
1) As I reached Chinchwad (CCH) station at 15:30 hrs, I saw T6 Pune-Talegaon EMU local leaving of CCH station.

came and departed and cleared off the line, from PF4, a Kurla Shunter CLA WDS4B # 19538 hauled a departmental crane marked as # CR # 44212 (with painted markings of "Capacity 10 Ton - OHE KYN"). Kurla Shunter 19538 had painted markings of "Dual Brake" on side walls!
3) Soon, 9311 Pune-Indore Exp moved towards Lonavala, hauled by BL WCAM1 # 21813.
4) At 15:50 hrs, L15 Lonavala-Pune local arrived on PF2. I boarded this train and started journey towards Pune.
5) At Kasarwadi, on the opposite line, I saw 1008 Pune-Mumbai Deccan Exp moving towards Chinchwad with twin Kalyan WCG2 pure DC locos. The leading loco (towards Mumbai) was KYN WCG2 # 20129 and trailing loco was KYN WCG2 # 20127.
6) At Dapodi, L20 Pune-Lonavala was seen slowly moving towards Lonavala.
7) At Khadaki, CLA WDS4B 19538 was seen getting detached from the CR crane and another CLA WDS4D # 19718 was seen getting attached to the same crane, at Mumbai end of Khadki station!
8) And first surprise of the day! At Pune end of Khadaki station, red/cream/grey ET WDM3A # 17990R was seen getting attached to a goods train! Nice to see WCR marked Itarsi WDM3A 17990R at Khadki/Pune!
9) Second surprise of the day! At Shivajinagar (SVJR), 1030 Kolhapur-Mumbai Koyana Exp was seen moving towards Mumbai with turquoise ED WDG3A # 13223 Shakti Loco! Surprising to see Erode Shakti with Koyana Exp!
10) Third Surprise! Again, at SVJR, on main down line towards Pune, a goods train was waiting to proceed towards Pune, headed by twin orange Gooty Shakti Locos! The leading loco (towards Pune) was orange GY WDG3A # 13377 and trailing loco was orange GY WDG3A # 14972 Shakti Loco!
11) At Pune station outer, I saw 6530 Bangalore-Mumbai Udyan Exp moving towards Mumbai with KJM WDP4 # 20022 with LHF (long hood forward) mode towards Mumbai direction.
12) Electric trip shed at Pune had BL WCAM1 # 21818 and KYN WCAM3 # 21885 # 21897 and few more electric locos!
13) Pit line between PF2/3 had blue GY WDM3A # 18917R loco. This must have come with 1030 KOP-CSTM Koyana Exp and will go out with 6381 CSTM-CAPE Jayanti Janata Exp.
14) My EMU arrived on PF5 of Pune Station at 16:18 hrs and later departed at 16:30 hrs as L22 Pune-Lonavala local.
15) Pit line near PF6 had orange KZJ WDM3A # 18980R taking rest (shut down).
16) Final surprise of the day! From PF, at 16:24 hrs, 2103 Pune-Lucknow Superfast Exp departed towards Daund with twin orange Gooty Shakti Locos! The leading loco (towards Daund) for 2103 PUNE-LJN Exp was orange GY WDG3A # 13314 Shakti and trailing loco was orange GY WDG3A # 13257 Shakti! On 18-Jan-2008, I had seen 2103 Lucknow Exp with twin KJM WDG3A locos! The loco pilots confirmed that GY WDG3A twins will go all the way to Lucknow! NR Members, please keep watch! You will be lucky to see Gooty powers at Lucknow tomorrow (Saturday)!
17) 2780 Nizamuddin-Vasco Goa Exp arrived on PF1 with turquoise PUNE WDG3A # 13064 Shakti. The same loco reversed to haul Goa SF Exp towards Miraj side.
18) Derated green PUNE WDM2S # 18495 was seen shunting "inspection car" of NE railway!
19) Kurla Shunter CLA WDS4x was shunting goods wagons near cement loading area.
20) 7031 Mumbai-Hyderabad Exp arrived from Mumbai on PF4 with orange/red KZJ WDM2A # 16501 (loco in Raj livery)!
21) Rake of outgoing 1621A Pune-Satara Passenger was seen on PF6.
22) As I was leaving station area at 16:32 hrs or so, 6352 Nagercoil-Tirupati-Mumbai Exp was seen arriving on PF2 with ED WDM2 # 18600 Loco!
Thus, in span of 1 hr, 5 Gooty, 2 KZJ, 3 CLA, 2 ED, 1 KJM, 2 PUNE, 1 ET diesel locos and 2 BL, 4 KYN electric locos were spotted!
