Railfan_SRDiv^~ 2581 blog postsVery slow speed from TCR to PGT and PGT to CBE. TCR to PGT can be done in 1 hour and so PGT to CBE in 1 hour. Moving via A line could also save some time in PGT to CBE section.
Not sure if it do up and down in same day with single rake considering speed restriction in the area in case if made daily

TCR to SRR bypass trains can move only at 80km/hr. From SRR bypass till PGT MPS is 110km/hr. Again from PGT to Podanur it is 60km/hr due to ghat section. VB can cover distance in lesser time only when there is non stop similar speed. This differential speed restrictions will never allow train to cover the same in quick time
No maintenance facility at KJM and neither tracks available for parking trains so there is no chance of starting any service. It just takes 20 min from KJM till BNC. The 1 hr shown in TT is slack time. It will never reach KJM at 21 hrs so has enough time to cover delay. SWR has same strategy for all trains. Just have a look at the TT of Island exp between KJM and SBC.
Right thats why I put a RSA pattern in the post so it helps. Its gonna be tough to make up and down in single day with the speed restriction. A slight delay would affect the return train badly or they should operate with two rakes like ICE
Yea I did not think of that. All it need is to have a loop PF and some cleaning crew and water filling cause maintanence will be at ERS.
But I would say my post above might help if RSA is approved. Infact if CBE BNC VB is started at 06:30 AM it can arrive BNC (route change via JTJ bypass with Tirupattur stop) 12:30 PM and return to ERS VB can start at 13:30 PM can arrive ERS at 22:00 PM and return can start at 07:00 AM can arrive...

Ideally the RSA with CBE VB is a good option. Had the CBE VB run via JTJ it could have still been a good option. Given that Dharmapuri and Hosur are the additional two stations in the route connected with VB, highly unlikely of removing those. It should have been done from beginning itself

It would have good if it leaves Kochi in the morning and Bengaluru in the evening. Even a 16 car would be successful in this route

It will be good if PTJ develops...I think it has more platforms also as compared to CBE which can accommodate trains with 22 coach or more. As of now in CBE I only see 3 PF accommodating longer trains. And looking at the location, I am not if CBE can be expanded further . But if they are able to do that it will be good. But PTJ as an alternative will be nice.
It is also planned once fund has alloted the works will be started.
They don't want palakkad lobies to snatch cbe train .
