Today I went to DGR by bus and returned by train.
As soon as I was done there, I caught a local bus towards DGR station after 1600 hrs to catch LKU- HWH Exp. But I arrived at DGR station at 1630. Previously a railfan informed me that it was running only 10 minutes late.
I stood at the line to buy a ticket. Poorva was running late and was to arrive at 1720. I got my ticket and when I saw that I had enough time, I finished what was meant to...
more... be my lunch. Suddenly the PAS declared that AII- SDAH 12988 was coming on PF 4. I thought that the GS compartments would be emptier in this train. So, when it came, I went to the last portion of the train and boarded it.
The toilet and the corridor was extremely dirty. Window pane from the toilet of the next compartment was broken and hanging outside.
TTE came and checked the tickets. One man was travelling with non- SF ticket for which he took bribe of Rs. 110/- instead of fining Rs. 265.
22520 HWH WAP4 was hauling the train. At Mankar I was fooled by IR. Poorva made its way and overtook us with 30236 GZB WAP7. I was stunned.
Later a passenger said that LKU- HWH Exp too was running late and had not passed yet.
I deboarded at BWN (PF 5) where another TTE checked my ticket. After some time LKU came at the same platform. 3 minutes later diesel hauled 12348 RPH- HWH Exp entered at the next platform. I was confused on which of these I should board. But LKU relieved me by starting off.
The little train was showing moderate to good acceleration. It ran at 100+ kmph. The significant thing is that it was leaded by 27678 NKJ WAG7.
It arrived HWH at 8.35 pm (PF 11) when I saw Poorva was resting with empty rake. Have a sleep, nice guy. You have to work hard again in the morning.
