the Bela police station, alleging that they were duped of Rs. 15 lakh under the pretense of getting jobs as Ticket Collectors in the Railways. The complaint names six individuals, including famous bhajan singer Sonu Muskaan, Kabir, a railway employee allegedly working at Danapur Railway Station, and Shyam Babu Singh, a businessman from the Ahiyapur Market Committee. ASP Nagar, Bhanu Pratap Singh, stated that an investigation revealed the involvement of over 30 people in the racket, with connections to several cities including Patna, Muzaffarpur, Sasaram, and Bardhaman. The gang would collect money from victims and provide them with fake training and joining letters. They would later be informed that the jobs were fake, exposing them to the scam. The ASP also mentioned that the gang was operating a similar racket in other departments like FCI, Steel Plant, and Central Police Officer roles. The victims, Saurabh and Mohan, stated in their complaint that they were desperate for jobs. They were introduced to Sonu Muskaan by Shyam Kishor Singh, a potato and onion merchant from the Market Committee. Sonu Muskaan introduced them to Sachendra Sharma, claiming that he could get them jobs for a fee of Rs. 1 lakh. After collecting Rs. 1 lakh each from Saurabh and Mohan, they were introduced to Sachendra Sharma on July 2nd and 4th. He had them fill out forms and collect Rs. 7 lakh each, after which they received fake joining letters from the Railways by post. Saurabh was to join in Wazirganj, Gaya, and Mohan in Bardhaman, West Bengal. Upon reaching Wazirganj Railway Station, Saurabh was informed by the station master that the joining letter was fake. He managed to escape the situation with the police. Mohan also faced a similar situation in Bardhaman Junction.

The installation of escalators at Sasaram Railway Station, which had been pending for almost six years, is nearing completion. The project, costing approximately one crore rupees, is being undertaken under the ambitious Amrit Bharat scheme, which aims to provide better amenities for passengers at the station. The station is a major hub for visitors to various historical and religious sites in the region, including Sher Shah's Tomb, Gupta Dham, Tara Chandi Dham, and others. Apart from Sasaram, the Amrit Bharat scheme is also being implemented at Dehri and Bikramganj stations to improve passenger facilities by expanding foot over bridges, installing lifts, beautifying circulating areas, and expanding parking and entry/exit gates.

A special train, the 03325/03326 Koyambatur-Dhanbad Express, is being operated between Dhanbad and Koyambatur to facilitate travel during the upcoming festive season.
