This ain't no double line, it gonna clear up a bottleneck in Gondia especially for trains coming from Balaghat side heading towards the south. Right now, what's happening is the two trains - the Chennai Express and the Kashi Tamil Sangam Express - when they leave Gondia towards the south, they cut through the Mumbai-Howrah main line causing a congestion, that's why trains coming from Balaghat are held at the outer so that mainline trains get the first priority. With this Q curve, the platforms on the right side for trains coming from Nagpur side at Gondia station or the left side for trains coming from Raipur side will be exclusively for trains coming from Balaghat. The train will arrive from Balaghat, then after leaving Gondia, it will stay on the rightmost line without crossing the mainline and later move onto this Q curve line, making a loop, and then pass over the mainline heading towards the south. This same setup is also in Ratlam. Moral of the story: trains coming from Balaghat on this Q curve won't cross the mainline, instead, they will pass over it.
