ssastronaut~ 922 blog posts12071/72 Hingoli Janshatbdi should be converted into normal Super Fast Express and should be named as "Sant Namdev SF Express" (संत नामदेव सु.फा. एक्सप्रेस ). This will enable IR to introduce general tickets in this train and will benefit the people. Anyways many stoppages have been introduced for this train and train no more qualifies as Janshtabdi Express.
Maintainence will also be pathetic now. Already it was not good.
Its not good because of RSA with Panchavati Express. Incoming Panchavati from Manmad is turned around at CSMT and goes as Jan Shatabdi to Hingoli, then back from Hingoli the next day to CSMT where it is turned around again as Panchavati to Manmad.
This whole RSA was meant to clear one rake from Mazgaon pitlines, which has resulted in this condition of 12071/12072 Jan Shatabdi Express.

It's PM shifted to Manmad post rake sharing with Jan Shatabdi and hence the quality detoriated. It reachesate night at Manmad so I don't think overnight maintainence is worth there. Post Hingoli now it will be more worse.
Instead of extending this to Hingoli, they could have run an overnight train or regularised NED-LTT Special via HNL with better timings
12071/72 should be run between Nanded & Mumbai covering the distance in 8.5 hours which would be worth of Jan Shatabdi category train. Rake could be handed over to SCR with PM @NED.

If this train CDO change to SER then RSA wont be needed. And new train no. Can be 20873 and 74
We all can see the beautiful maintenance of SER trains. It's better that Falcon maintenance goes on at SCR.
Well you are right. Now 18045 is maintained far better than 12703 in matters of cleanliness. I have experienced it. Punctuality and speed no doubt regarding 12703, but have you checked trains like 12860, 12863, 12810, 12841, 12833 ?These all are legendary trains. Even 12703 get shifted, it will be managed in 3 rakes and that with overnight maintenance. This is the beautiful maintenance
12703 comes in top 5 highest revenue generating trains. And what SCR does, giving LHB rakes in 2024. Not giving atleast one 3A coach. It is still having 3E coaches and that with least maintenance. C'mon you know the beauty of SER with improper TT.Arrival at 10 am departure at 4pm, how?. I have personally experienced SCR maintenance in 12704. Dirty bottle holder. Leg operated tap which was not ready to use, and cosy berth and what not and that too from departure from SC. When I boarded 03 it was maintained better. Even I was expecting this train better then SER trains of my route but, 12704 couldn't come to that standard
People have had long discussions on this topic regarding this train because SCR just neglected it in terms of maintenance. It's RSA partner also used to get neglected in the process. Discussions of transferring PM to SRC were also made but some people also did site trains like 18048 which till today have horrible maintenance. The train does travel through Orissa,AP and Karnataka so it does get dirty. I think this is a major issue for trains bound from HWH towards South. Onboard maintenance should be done otherwise people keep assuming that maintenance at origin is not upto mark. Many people in South have that idea of North originating trains like Sanghamitra, Raptisagar, Coro, Dhanbad etc that they are just not well maintained trains. Dhanbad ALLP just becomes horrible by the time it reaches AP. I wish Falcon maintenance was transferred to SER but there is too much skepticism of SER...

Aao_Haveli_Pe~ 122 blog postsI dont want to write but writing this thing...Anyday some major derailment is waiting in PNBE-DDU up line especially in ara-bxr section...Packing is very very bad...super bumpy tracks, super heavy jerks at 130kmph...i cannot even sit on my seat, it throws me, imagine what will happen when standing...Train can jump off tracks someday..Engg department should do some work..I am asking, is packing not done in this section...Ddu-pcoi always doing packing to make ride comfortable..
