It seems they are not in view to increase speed of section but just manage traffic of section to run still more freight and speed of 100 is good for freight trains. For speed upgrades it needs still more time for this section it seems..
In sbc jru section though very less curves are there lot of gradients are present but we must be happy atleast the mps in sbc ask section got upgraded from 90 to 110 kmph and after doubling completes in hrr ubl section mps of premium trains will be 120 kmph( most probably after electrification).
Yes may be because that line is for passenger trains so they can do their but this section is for freight so they not need to think about high speed here.. Better they run 80 to 90 only that's enough I think because ppl are tend to adjust for anything over this section no trains then also they can adjust not a big problem but freight should not stop else big loss to zone.. 😅😅😅
90 is too low bro. Better if mps is 100 to 110 and you are also right if freight movement becomes a problem due to high mps of passenger trains then better to lower the mps because Hubli division is surviving only because of freights.
Yes it's too low for others but for us it's like superfast speed because this section became BG in 1998/2000 but we not saw any speed upgrades on this line until now but track renewals and other things keep happening which is due to wear and tear from freight movement but passenger trains are very consistent on this section. I am not trolling the railways for low speeds for this one but I am saying what all I saw and experienced.. So as u said UBL is surviving on freight profit only..
