Mangaluru Central is the main railway station of Mangaluru, located at the heart of the city, providing better connectivity across Karnataka. Extending the train to Mangaluru Central will make travel more convenient, allowing passengers to reach any part of the city with ease and at a lower cost compared to Mangaluru Junction. Train Number 56665/66 Kasaragod–Byndoor Mookambika Road Passenger train was an important mode of transport for many passengers, including daily commuters and devotees traveling to Kollur Mookambika Temple. Byndoor Railway Station (BYNR) is the nearest railway station to Kollur, located just 28 km away, providing the most convenient rail stop for those visiting the temple.

From Byndoor, KSRTC and private buses operate frequently, ensuring easy connectivity to Kollur with a travel time of just 40-50 minutes. The availability of affordable bus services makes it an ideal route for devotees coming from different parts of Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra, and beyond.

With the cancellation of the Kasaragod–Byndoor Passenger, passengers now face difficulties and higher travel costs to reach Byndoor and ultimately Kollur. Resuming this train would restore affordable and seamless connectivity for devotees, students, and daily commuters.

We request @RailMinIndia @KonkanRailway to consider restarting this essential service to benefit the public. 🙏🚆
