Soon this short distance passenger train is going to be short-lived as this train is about to merge with TEN NCJ Passenger.

It is One Way train as the return direction is operated as CAPE TEN Passenger.

Southern Railway for successfully killing one more passenger service. Because it will indirectly force the CAPE PUU NCJ(tba. CAPE) passenger to run as a express train as already this train runs for 196 RKM. Just only 4 kilometers remain for conversion into express. In future this train can be extended till EDM (edamon) or SCT (sengottai). In the past, already EDM handled some passenger trains such as GUV EDM pass, QLN EDM pass, etc...

For the first time, Kottayam to be converted in to a terminus for long hauling trains. Right now there is no Long Haul trains/Reservation Trains Originate or Terminate at Kottayam. Only 2 Unreserved Express and few Passenger service operated from Kottayam.

Poorna Express & Pune Ernakulam SF to be extended till Kottayam in order to de contest Ernakulam and thereby dully skips Ernakulam Junction.

But why Southern Railway didn't consider Alappuzha which already has a Pitline for maintenance & even didn't need to skip Ernakulam Junction.
